MTDC had the honour of participating in the visit by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, to Al-Meswak Mu’min Sdn. Bhd. at PERDA Halal Park, Penang.

Al-Meswak Mu’min Sdn. Bhd., an MTDC ecosystem company, is a homegrown innovator specialising in halal-certified oral care and personal hygiene products, leveraging natural ingredients such as miswak to serve both domestic and international markets.

The visit, held in conjunction with the PERDA Food Halal Park Groundbreaking Ceremony 2026, reflects the Government’s continued commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s halal industry through diversification, innovation and expansion into high-value segments beyond traditional food and beverage.
