STRATEGIC MEETING WITH JAKIM HALAL MANAGEMENT DIVISION

JAKIM, 13 April 2026 – The USIM Library held a strategic meeting with the Director of the Halal Management Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). The session was attended by representatives from the USIM Library, led by the Chief Librarian, Datin Nor Azzah Momin, together with the Head of Department, Dr. Mohd Helmi Masor @ Mansor, as well as Rozana Kamdani and librarians from the Technology and Repository Department.

The meeting aimed to discuss the development of a Halal Repository, as well as the proposed implementation of a Discovery System to strengthen integrated access to halal-related information resources.

In addition, both parties explored potential forms of strategic collaboration, including data and content sharing, expertise exchange, and joint promotional and community engagement initiatives.

This initiative is expected to have a positive impact in expanding access to knowledge, enhancing the visibility of halal research, and supporting the research and innovation ecosystem for the benefit of the ummah.
