Did you know, Beryl’s Chocolate is a halal-certified Malaysian brand?
You read that right— Beryl’s chocolate is Malaysian made and certified halal by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), positioning their desserts as one of the most well-loved confectionary products among our citizens.
The brand in a statement said, they were the first Malaysian owned chocolate manufacturer to obtain Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and halal certification in the country.
“This dual certification ensures complete consumer food safety and conformity to halal principles, as we are dedicated to only produce premium products that guarantee satisfaction every time,” said Beryl’s.

Beryl’s chocolates is halal-certified by JAKIM and made in Malaysia, making their products guaranteed safe to consume by Muslim customers.
Established in 1995, Beryl’s Chocolate and Confectionary Sdn. Bhd was created with a single aim to produce excellent products for both the local and global markets thus becoming a major regional chocolatier.
Their journey first started in the small town of Desa Serdang, where they opened their first factory to manufacture consumer-packed chocolates sold in duty-free shops and supermarkets across the country.
Later in 2008 and 2013, Beryl’s expanded with two more factories to keep up with the growing demands of their customers and further develop new treats beyond chocolates such as cookies and other confectionary products.

Beryl’s has expanded to other confectionery products including cookies and wafer rolls, offering a diverse range of products for its customers.
“Beryl’s chocolates can now be found in over 15 countries around the world including Singapore, Macau, Hong Kong, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand.
“Our vision of being a leading international brand associated with high quality chocolates has been achieved by relying on a simple set of values— quality, innovation and the very best level of service.
“These are the foundations of our success and are exactly what we deliver to our customers and partners alike,” said Beryl’s.

Although Kinihalal’s check on Halal Malaysia Portal reveals no proof of the brand’s halal certification, we eventually located its documentation that shows Beryl's ongoing halal status.
Currently, the brand carries over 200 varieties of premium chocolates and other confectionery goods, offering the perfect treat for any occasion whether it is for a light snack or a gift for someone special.
Kinihalal’s personal favourite is the Hazelnut Milk Chocolate, retailed at RM29.80 for 340 grams. The chocolate bits are milky sweet but when combined with hazelnut’s grounded taste, it strikes as a perfect mid-working snack in the office especially during rainy days.
