LC Wakaful Digital launches Impakrintas, Malaysia’s first Social Exchange platform
LC Wakaful Digital Sdn Bhd (LCWD) launched Malaysia’s first Social Exchange platform, Impakrintas today, following the announcement of LCWD’s appointment as the inaugural platform operator by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) on 12th February.
The subsidiary of Gobarakah Tech Sdn Bhd said, the platform combines digital technology and community participation within a regulated environment to reshape how Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) raise funds and showcase impact.
The Group and LCWD Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Firdaus Mohamed described Impakrintas as a transformative milestone and a game changer for Malaysia’s social impact ecosystem.
“For the first time, we are bringing together regulatory structure, technology infrastructure, and community participation into a single platform, creating a trusted environment where eligible projects can scale sustainably.

Firdaus is also the co-founder of Gobarakah, the multiple award-winning fintech platform that converts donations into purpose-driven, trackable and traceable e-vouchers.
“By embedding governance, disclosures, and transparency into the fundraising journey, we are helping the sector move beyond traditional models toward measurable outcomes and stronger accountability.
“The framework enables us to champion credible social initiatives and provide donors with a higher level of confidence when supporting meaningful causes,” he said in a statement.
The CEO said, the initiative complements their long-term goal of leading the charitable sector through technology.
According to LCWD, Impakrintas is designed to elevate transparency, reinforce donor confidence and form a structured marketplace for social impact projects fundraising in Malaysia.

Impakrintas allows donors to fund specific projects that vary from community welfare to ESG.
In contrast to traditional donation platforms, LCWD said the platform is built on a unique framework that integrates regulatory oversight, organized disclosures and active community engagement.
It allows both NPOs and donors to balance accessibility with governance and participation with accountability, simultaneously raising standards across Malaysia’s NPO ecosystem while unlocking new pathways for responsible social participation, it said.
LCWD added, the Social Exchange initiative is expected to widen participation in social finance and encourage stronger governance practices across Malaysia’s charitable landscape, thus aligning social impact funding closer to capital market standards.
