KUANTAN, 01 AUGUST 2024: The Pahang State Government has allocated RM15 million to entrepreneurs in the state who hold halal certification to expand their businesses through a special loan fund.
The Pahang State Exco for Islamic Affairs, YB. Dato’ Sri Syed Ibrahim Syed Ahmad, said that this special loan fund was announced by The Chief Minister of Pahang.
“The Chief Minister of Pahang himself takes the halal policy very seriously, and in the budget presentation the day before yesterday, it was mentioned that we (the Pahang State Government) are providing RM15 million for entrepreneurs with halal certification.
“This is to allow them to take out loans so they can obtain assets and that their efforts can be developed and advanced. It means that this halal initiative is very beneficial and has a significant impact on entrepreneurs,” he said.
He said this statement after officiating the Majlis Penutup Sesi Town Hall Dasar Halal Negara 2025-2035 (DSN 2035) for the Eastern Zone at Hotel Zenith.
