Determination of the Beginning of Hijri Months & Hilal Observation in Malaysia convened key stakeholders from the Australia Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC) and JAKIM, reinforcing Malaysia’s leadership in structured, science-led Hilal determination.

The session was represented by Dr Mahomed Hanief Khatree (AFIC) and featured a technical briefing by Dato’ Prof Dr Mohd Zambri bin Zainuddin of the JAKIM Falak Expert Panel—strengthening cross-border knowledge exchange and institutional alignment.
