If the opportunity doesn’t exist, you may have to go and find it.

Early on, I realised something didn’t align. I wanted to work in finance, but the options available did not match my values. Whether it was banking, investing, or fund management, there was a clear gap. The kind of work I was looking for simply wasn’t there.

That realisation changed everything. Instead of settling, I looked beyond my environment. If it didn’t exist locally, I had to go where it did. That meant moving, exploring, and stepping into unfamiliar places. Sometimes the path isn’t about choosing from what’s available. It’s about going out and finding what aligns with you.
