Malaysians enjoy RM500 million saving and 14 times faster delivery during Shopee 9.9 sale

Shopee recorded that Malaysians save up to RM500 million and experience 14 times faster delivery on its 9.9 Super Shopping Day recently, proving once again to be the nation’s ultimate shopping platform.

 

The Singaporean brand announced that the large-scale deal spans from Lagi Murah discounts to Lagi Cepat deliveries, bringing Malaysians into a shopping ring full of excitement with massive savings and faster checkouts.

 

Shopee said, thousands of vouchers were redeemed across many categories during the Lagi Murah deal including health and beauty, home and living as well as groceries and pets, while demand was particularly strong for items under footwear and electronics accessories.

 

It reflects the shoppers’ interest in both everyday staples and trending products, it said in a statement.

 

Shopee added, the sale achieved a 1.2 million shipping within the first 24 hours under the Lagi Cepat sale while deliveries were 14 times faster compared to last year thus offering shoppers a record-speed fulfillment at the best value. 

 

This does not only benefit the shoppers but translates directly into positive results for sellers who experienced significant growth during the campaign period.


The campaign provided a room for small businesses to thrive and grow exceeding their expectations.


Wow Collection Hijabs, a local muslim fashion seller testified that the campaign was their best yet where they saw quality traffic from the beginning of the period with more serious buyers, new prospects and higher conversion rates. 

 

“Our shop orders jumped by 190 percent,” the small seller claimed.

 

At the same time, Shopee stated that its Shopee Live also assisted sellers in increasing their orders as much as 12 times over compared to a normal day.

“Shoppers tuned in for real-time product demos, exclusive deals, and interactive Q and As, creating a fun and engaging way to shop.

 

“Through Shopee Live alone, Malaysians saved an impressive RM67 million, fueled by affiliate-driven recommendations and livestream-exclusive vouchers, making it a massive leap from last year’s performance,” the giant e-commerce platform said. 

 

According to Shopee, its Live garnered up to 300 millions views on a peak day as well, marking a massive leap from the previous campaign in 2024 and reinforcing its role as the go-to destination for interactive shopping and real-time discovery.

 

Elgini, a local sportswear brand corroborated this, saying that they experienced shattering records during the 9.9 campaign where their orders doubled during Shopee Live.


Selling live made it easier and accessible for entrepreneurs on Shopee, where they can promote and integrate their products onto the same platform for easier conversion. 


Its representative, Mr Lim shared that their sales performance improved by 70 percent in comparison to last year, noting a significant success in Shopee Live.

 

Similarly, renowned entrepreneur behind ShahidaDherbs, Datuk Sri Aliff Syukri said their journey with the e-commerce platform has been nothing short of amazing and the recent campaign took it to the next level.

 

“With the strong support from Shopee, particularly through the 9.9 TV Show and Shopee Live, we achieved more than double of our sales from the previous month’s campaign. 

 

“This incredible boost not only helped us exceed our targets, but also strengthened our connection with shoppers nationwide,” he said.

 

Aside from that, Shopee’s newly introduced feature, Shopee Video began to prove to be a game-changer for product discovery that enables sellers to reach new audiences through engaging short-form content as well as affiliate suggestions.

 

The feature blends entertainment with authentic reviews which help sellers in gaining visibility among shoppers who are actively searching for trusted recommendations.

“Shopee Video drove our product discovery and engagement. Combined with attractive vouchers, this exposure translated directly into a steady 40 percent growth in sales from Shopee Video alone during the 9.9 campaign,” it said. 

 

Shopee Video recorded 60 million views on peak day which is a sharp rise from last year, further cementing its role as a powerful engine of content-driven shopping.
