HDC Malaysia: Empowering Halal Food Security

Mr. Hairol Ariffein Sahari, CEO of Halal Development Corporation (HDC) Malaysia, was recently featured as a key speaker at the Sustainable Halal Food Security Program. This important event, hosted by Binaskil Academy in partnership with the Government of Malaysia, focused on advancing halal food security across the nation.

The program aimed to equip senior government officials with the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance Malaysia's halal food security. Participants included high-level representatives from various ministries related to food security, creating a prime opportunity for strategic collaboration and knowledge sharing.

During the session, Mr. Hairol Ariffein Sahari provided valuable insights into several crucial areas such as emphasizing the role of governmental bodies in fortifying the halal food sector, exploring the growth and support mechanisms necessary for a robust halal food ecosystem,  offering an analysis of current trends and market conditions affecting the halal food industry, and  discussing international perspectives and their impact on Malaysia's food security.

Mr. Hairol’s presentation contributed to a deeper understanding of halal food security, sparking meaningful discussions and enhancing collaborative efforts among participants. The session's outcomes are expected to influence future strategies and policies aimed at securing a resilient and halal-compliant food supply chain in Malaysia.
